So, I've been sick as hell with this demon flu, and haven't felt like talking or writing or anything. I'm finally coming out of it, I felt mostly me this morning, though I was fatigued again by early afternoon. Ugh. At any rate, I'm starting to think ahead to tourney season and invariably, my thoughts go to garb. I'm really needing to go simple-ish and I'd like to finally jump on the Rus Viking wagon. The clothes are looser and more comfortable and dammit, I look good in temple rings. But as always, I don't sew. So I'm looking around, asking if anyone is taking commissions for garb. I have linen already, and I'm totally down to pay someone to make me a couple tunics/ gowns, and maybe a caftan if I can get some wool. But it's like crickets. I'm totally willing to throw money at my problem, and no one wants to bite?? I'm just really frustrated. I'd like it to be someone in our Kingdom where I can do fittings, but it's looking like I have to start looking for someone OOK, and even then I don't know if I can find someone. Those tunic/ gowns are pretty simple, aren't they? Not like I'm asking for a full Elizabethan gown or anything.

I'm just tired still, and I wouldn't say I'm cranky, but I'm... meh. I want to go to bed and it's barely 9:00p. I have to get up way early (for me) and take AJ to the doctor for his ankle check-up, and it's going to be pouring and I'm worried how me -- weakling me -- is gonna handle getting him in and out of the car. AND I'm driving his Lexus and he's going to be critical of everything I do. Sigh. Take your evening meds, Cat, and go to bed.

I'm glad you're feeling better! And I do hope you find somebody to take commission. I am so far out of the game I wouldn't even know where to start.
